Administrative Assistant, Let's Go! program - Part Time
The United Way of Greater Portland is seeking an organized individual who can manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment to join our team as an Administrative Assistant for the Let’s Go! project. This half–time position will provide general administrative and management support to the Let’s Go! Project Director and assist staff and volunteers, including organizing and supporting meetings, project activities and database management.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree and one to three years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Considerable knowledge of business English, grammatical construction, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to establish positive public relations for the division and the organization; and to interact with a wide variety of people.
- Strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel are essential, as are skills working with a centralized database.
- Ability to work with a limited amount of supervision while anticipating the needs of the program.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to team with staff, volunteers and a diverse group of stakeholders.
