We're Still Doing What Matters.
Most people know United Way of Greater Portland best for the work that we’ve done for almost eighty years – raising money, investing it in the most effective programs and agencies in our community and measuring our success.
With the teamwork of our generous community and Partner Agencies, we’ve accomplished a lot over the years to build a stronger Greater Portland and improve thousands of lives.
While we continue to ensure quality essential services, like affordable childcare, mental health counseling, and elder care, we also bring people together to help identify growing community needs and work towards new innovative solutions with measurable results.
We’re Building on Our Strengths
Complex community issues require comprehensive solutions.
As our community grows and our needs change, United Way engages community partners to identify emerging issues and develop creative and effective solutions. These collaborations pinpoint root causes of problems and brings people together to create change focused on prevention.
