Endowing Your Annual Gift
You may choose to endow your annual gift to United Way. Typically, a gift in the amount of 25 times your annual gift is needed to perpetuate your annual gift forever. For example, if your contribution is $1,000 you may endow your gift with $25,000. This is often an appealing option to someone who is leaving a workplace and wants to continue to support United Way and the community well into the future
How to Endow Your Annual Gift Forever
The benefit of endowing your annual gift is that by contributing to the endowment, you are essentially creating principal from which your annual gift will be paid in perpetuity. Once your principal is 25x the amount of your annual gift, you no longer have to worry about making an annual gift each year.
United Way is happy to work with you to help you endow your gift over 1, 3, 5 or even 10 years based on what works best for your family.
