Early Childhood Draft Report

United Way of Greater Portland would like your feedback and comments on our draft Early Childhood report and preliminary target area prioritization.

We will use this report to target our resources to ensure children ages 0-5 receive the support they need to enter school with strong foundations. We invest resources in a wide range of programs and services which will be covered in future reports.

We invite you to read and comment on this report and the prioritized target areas. Feedback from families, providers, other issue experts and community members is extremely important to this process.

Specifically, please provide the following feedback in writing or by participating in one of our listening sessions:

  • If you think we have missed an important issue that impacts school readiness, please provide us with data that supports your thinking.  Please be as specific as possible, including data sources, links, etc.
  • If you disagree with the UWGP volunteers’ four recommended target areas, please tell us why.  Again, please be as specific as possible, including data sources, links, etc.
  • Anecdotal feedback: Does this report resonate?  Is it on track?
  • Also, please let us know if important data is missing or if any data is inaccurate.

All feedback and supporting materials must be received by 5 p.m. on July 19, 2010.
