Operations/Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources/Operations Manager is responsible for developing and administering the organization’s human resource initiatives and managing the day-to-day administrative support of the Chief Operating Officer. In addition, this role must understand the agency’s strategic direction and work across program areas to support and implement changes to existing systems – facilities, HR, IT, finance, marketing, and volunteer engagement – to foster efficient operations. This position will also facilitate organizational development and sustainability by maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders, including partners, donors, vendors, internal staff and key volunteers.
Under general supervision of United Way of Greater Portland (UWGP) Resource Development Staff members, this full-time position is responsible for the management of assigned employee workforce campaigns for the 2014 UWGP campaign. Loaned Executives (LE) will manage relationships with local companies, assist them with their campaigns, support volunteers within the companies, and serve as an ambassador for United Way in the community.
Donor Relations Coordinator
Under supervision of the Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving, this position builds, supports, and advances high-quality, year round relationships with key segments of individuals, particularly leadership and major donors and prospects, to attract and sustain resources (financial, volunteer and advocacy) to support United Way of Greater Portland’s strategic direction and community impact initiatives. This role provides the support necessary to continue to build and maintain robust leadership, major and planned giving relationships.
